Viral Bob Dylan- Tangled up in Web 2.0

1 comment :
This is great. Who says this stuff is just for the kids?

Found on the iclicknation blog- a viral campaign for Bob Dylan's upcoming CD release. You can personalize the classic Subterranean Homesick Blues video and send it to a friend or post it on your blog or MySpace. It also allows people to respond to your message and there is a Facebook app to go along with it. A very well done viral campaign by Ten4 design. My attempt is embedded below.

I would love to see the demographics of the folks who create and send out the personalized message. Also, i wasn't able to find a way to see public creations only by searching on google blogs for posts.

Apologies to Bob on the subject title of this post.

Google Reader new features and potential

No comments :
One of the gems that i came home to was the release of Google Reader's search feature which many of us had been begging for. The ability to search through all your feeds (from the moment you subscribed to them) is awesome and much needed- i am always looking for that blog post "i read the other day". Another good use that i have already put into practice (principally because i have thousands of unread feeds at this point) is to do quick searches to see who is writing about topics that i might be interested in currently.

I would like to see other features beyond more advance search features, like the ability to save and share searches and APML support.

Steve Rubel posted an interesting post on How to Data Mine Google Reader Feeds for Trends, which is yet another way that these new features can be used.

Daniela Barbosa Kingsley?

1 comment :
Friends,

I am back.
In case you are wondering, I did NOT marry Ben Kingsley while i was away.
That was another Daniela Barbosa who is stealing my Google juice due to her high profile marriage.
Instead i was riding Burros in The Ecuadorian Andes.
